... than a plastic pipe that was only about one and a half inches in diameter and only about six inches long. The bowl which rested on top could have been easily assembled at a hardware store. It amazes me how something could be so simple but still so destructive. One of the people in the room slowly approached me as the effects of his artificial happiness wore away. His trembling hands somehow managed to embrace me by my head and lay me to rest upon his lower lip. Before his upper lip came to rest upon the top of my head I opened my eyes and peered into his mouth using what little light I had. In all my like I had never thought I would again see what I had saw for those few seconds. His to ...
... and facing each other. There were about twelve seats in each group, so there were about 24 students in the class. Apparently, the class had just been returning from a trip to the school library when the fire drill went off, so when they came in they were still carrying their library books. The students were asked to take their seats and they did so quietly. Everyone's eyes were on Carrie and me. Mrs. Debolt asked us to introduce ourselves, which we did. She told the class that we were learning to be teachers and that we wanted to sit in on their social studies class. Each student sat at a little desk with their name laminated on the top. The students had laminated cards ...
... wondering exactly what they should expect. I did not want to go to the top of the mountain. It would take a long time, and we wanted to go shopping and head back to our cabin before it got too late. I walked into the woods and soon I was beside a lake totally enveloped in fog. I was facing a rock wall. The blue dots on the wall indicated that the trail went straight up. Wonderful memories rushed into my head from from other rock climbing adventures. I have always loved the rush I get from heights. I love the feeling I get when I have accomplished something that has challenged me, the feeling I get when I know a wrong move could be dangerous. With these memories in my head I began ...
... As I continue around the house I come across three windows overlooking the entrance to the house. There are black shutters on each window. As the porch continues to the south side of the house I am now looking over the Pacific Ocean. A huge eight foot picture is facing the same way I am. As I look down and observe the ocean I see two piers jutting out into the Pacific. On either side of the piers are huge boulders protecting the coast line from erosion. The house's walls are made of stucco and it has an old fashion shingles that are a clay color. As I walk into the back yard I am surrounded by the best things a man could ever want. Well not quite everything! But a lot of things. ...
... my conceptualization of the powerful world we live in. Looking up at the evening sky and observing a broad expanse of thick clusters of stars, without artificial light, breathing in cold, fresh, and pure air, absent contaminated, and seeing no signs of humanity only solemn nature is as a moving and uplifting experience. Too often today’s civilization becomes obsessed and entrenched in modernization and technology that it forgets and neglects its roots. We departed from the electric lights, indoor plumming, and computer-controlled heated environment of our homes and began to retreat to the wild. The previous weeks continual snow storms worried us, but we were determined, like explores ...
... office. After going there a couple of times, over a two-week period, she told me that I couldn't go anymore, but I sneaked passed her and went anyway. A week later, I got hurt again, so I snuck past her again even though she had told me not to go. That afternoon, she insulted me in front of everybody in the class; thus, I thought of her as a mean witch. Later that school year, I accidentally placed my finger in the doorway and someone slammed it without knowing my finger was there. She didn't care; therefore, she didn't tell me what to do. Consequently, I had to hold the two parts of my finger and run upstairs alone. Even though it hurt a lot, I was happy to be away from Mrs. HAIBUS, the " ...
... after looking all over I found the right wedding gown. I got the invitations out and all the other arrangements changed. I awoke early Saturday morning August 17th, my wedding day, or is it? I really wasn't a nervous bride. I finished packing my luggage for the honeymoon. I went to get my hair styled and do some last minute touches. All set, at least that's what I thought. My wedding was scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m. my mother, sister, and I arrived at the church. It was almost 4:00 p.m.; I am at the church waiting to walk down the aisle with my dad. Suddenly, someone came in and told me that the groom wasn't here. All the wedding party is here, but no groom. I didn't know what ...
... I Finally got on my trip down to my buddy Scott’s house, it seemed like a long trip because I had to ride my bike there. But he lived right down the road so it wasn’t that bad. Also I knew that it would all be worthwhile when I arrived there and we went to Mandys. After a while of watching television, Scott and I decided to go on down Mandys. We got down there after walking down to pitch black, roughed up road. We turned up the pot hole filled driveway, I started thinking of what might happen at this so-called party. Would I drink alcohol? Would I smoke cigarettes? Or even marijuana. I thought to myself that I would go with the flow, and make smart decisions. We got to the fr ...
... The sword caught what little light that had somehow found its way through the trees and it danced on the nearby trees. It made a swish as it flew through the air. When it hit the brush the sword vibrated through my hand and the brush gave way to the knife and allowed me to pass through. A tiny light became clearer to me and I headed toward it. The bugs became thicker and there were mosquitoes all around and it was getting harder to take a breath without getting one in your mouth or up your nose. Overhead there were monkeys talking back and forth about the intruders into their world. I glanced up and saw one actually staring right at me. We continued to stare at me until his screech bro ...
... no idea what the company is about, but it did pretty well so I was happy. Then I bought NPC International Inc., just because I wanted more stocks and it sounded good. I bought Music Land stores because I play the guitar and I love music so I had to buy that stock. I already own Walt Disney stock in real life. My grandfather bought it for me for my 10th birthday. If it's good enough for him it's certainly good enough for me. K-Mart had changed their name to the Big-K about a week before I bought the stock. Maybe this would bring in some new clientele. I thought that just because Marlboro sold so many cigarettes that naturally the stock price would always do well. I don't know wha ...
