... differences and even presented cards to the children nobody liked. That one day of love seemed to unify the worst of foes through love and forgiveness. I could hardly wait for that day to come. As the night before Valentines Day had rolled around, anticipation had escalated to an all time peak. Nevertheless, it was all set aside as my parents once again started to fight. My brother and I were sent to the car in the garage so that we would not witness them fighting. We knew the routine. I was scared and I could still hear angry voices dueling back and forth. My brother was a senior in high school and even he seemed frightened when they fought. Although he tried to hide his fear, I ...
... as an unwavering constant. But most importantly, they were carried out slowly, and in the current times of speed and fast results, it was very reassuring to be able to take time to go through the routines which had been a part of Bradley's life for at least fifteen years, now. Bradley savoured his drink, choosing to drink it very slowly, as if in an attempt to slow down time. Bradley tried again to put words to the page, typing away furiously (certainly the ability to type over ninety words per minute helps when you have to write as much as he does), but his mind, usually clear when on task, was becoming muddled with concern for his many other on-going projects. His concentra ...
... awe. All I could say was “that is the best movie in history!” In my mind, the movie was perfect. It was full of everything that I like in a movie. It had mystery, suspense, and most of all it was a thriller. I got to try to figure out who the killer was and as it turned out, there was actually two killers which made it even better. There were so many different parts in the movie where I had no clue what was going to happen or who was hiding where. This movie literally kept me on the edge of me seat. ...

... claustrophobic. He hates traffic which is the main reason I think we moved long ago to Wyoming, the land of wide-open spaces. "You can drive more than a hundred miles on a Wyoming highway without seeing another car," Daddy would often brag. That was not the case, however, in Colorado. The cars were lined up one after another, traveling 75 miles per hour, to the horizon and beyond. We passengers paid scant attention to the outside world as we were involved in a thought-provoking discussion regarding the strengths and weaknesses of the highly educational hit movie of the summer, Independence Day. The movie answered the question: Are we alone in the Universe? with a loud no when aliens ...
... Mom had a doctors appointment in York because my second baby brother was on his way. I went with my Mom because my Dad had to work and wouldn’t be able to take care of me for the weekend, but little did my Mom know that she was going to have to stay in York for the whole month of October. Mom’s doctor didn’t want her to be so far away when having the third baby on the way. My second baby brother, Scott was born on October 22, 1987. Finally after coming back to Virginia after being here for about 10 months before going to York for Mom’s doctors appointment and only being in school about a few days, I returned back to school after missing it for a month. I did just fine and moved on to ...

As the doctor roamed the inn he started to swear like a mad man because he still could not find any water. He ...
... starts me getting recall of my friend, Angus. At a time, my brain is working like a computer loading an enormous file. A picture is appearing - a guy is walking towards me and gives me his saber. The saber is sharp and shiny, it reflects an intensive light to my eyes. My eyes shutter reluctantly. I see my school, my night school. I am glad that this recall is not being erased. I remember that Angus sat beside me. "Do your best. You are new to this subject. Everything here is brand new to you. Don't worry. Just try your best." Angus held up his head by his hand and murmured. His eyes were staring on the page of a novel, but I knew he was talking to me. In my class Angus was the only ...

Sensing trouble the officer demands, “Turn off your engine, step out of the car and put your hands behind your head, NOW!”. John shouts “No way pig!”. “I’m never going back to prison!”. Throwing the NSX into gear and hitting the accelerator he leaves the officer in a cloud of dust.
