... dark storms. Finally, Lady Macbeth and Macbeth are talking in the scene just before the murder of Banquo and Macbeth says "Light thickens, and the crow makes wing to the rooky wood: Good things of day begin to droop and drowse, whiles night's black agents to their preys do rouse" (3. 2. l50-53). This example of darkness imagery is saying that the day is turning into night, all the good things are going to sleep, and the evil creatures are coming out . The evil in this previous quotation and the two before adds to the ominous atmosphere. Since the imagery creates an ominous atmosphere it would then lead to the second dramatic purpose, to arouse the emotions of the audience. Darkness imag ...
... Murdering the king was an easier plan since the motivation in his dreams urged him on. Lady Macbeth also relied on the supernatural by her soliloquy of calling upon the evil spirits to give her the power to plot the murder of Duncan without any remorse or conscience(Act I, Scene V, ll.42-57). The three sisters are capable of leading people into danger resulting in death, such as the sailor who never slept(Act I, Scene III, ll.1-37). Lady Macbeth has convinced her husband Macbeth to murder King Duncan. On the night they planned to kill Duncan, Macbeth is waiting for Lady Macbeth to ring the signal bell to go up the stairs to Duncan's chamber. He sees the vision of the floating dagger. T ...
... allowed one company to own up to 53% of the local radio advertising revenue market. With these current deals, the threshold would push that to 75%. The FCC currently has no magic number for reviewing local advertising revenue. One of the cases that the FCC is currently reviewing is Regent Communications’ acquisition of four radio stations in Redding, California. Officials have said that if this deal goes through, one company would control 64% of the local radio revenue and would also give two companies a whopping 99.6% of the market’s radio revenue. The FCC is concerned about competition and trying to help smaller radio stations stay alive. Officials want the industry to remain ...
... makes the paintings reveal Michelangelo's talent and the charactaristics of his characters. Marking and bringing it to attention which areas had the restorations applied to is a very good idea. I think that by going about trying to get these portraits back to their original style was not only an appreciative thing to do but it also gained us knowledge of Michelangelo and his style of painting. It revealed us a little more to know of Michelangelo and what went on during the time these paintings were painted. I like Michelangelo's work, but seeing the video, I could tell a major difference in the art work and it seemed so vivid that it had been changed a great deal. To me it does not sho ...
... his decision whether to confess to this outright lie, or to spite the evil and be hung in martyrdom. Up to this point in time, the court officials have no definitive proof that any witchcraft has actually been practiced. Innocent people are being hung only on account of the testimony given by one young girl. Proctor realizes that by confessing, he will mar the memory of the many who have thus far been killed without confirming the false accusations. These dead would not sign their names falsely just to spare their own life. How could Proctor disrespect the cause that these dead gave their lives for, just to spare himself? Throughout the scene, Elizabeth struggles to let John be the one t ...
... silver. The next scene in 10 years later set in a factory where we meat the other main character, Fantine. As she is reading a letter her perverted boss snatches it up with his hands and reads it aloud. Fantine has a daughter that lives with an innkeeper and his wife who are the only ones in this whole play that give some comedy relief. They treat her daughter horribly and when the boss finds out that she has a daughter he thinks of her as a prostitute and kicks her out of the factory, which is in the town in which the new honest Valjean is the mayor. To support her child Fantine sells her chain and her locks of hair. Then later because she can't find work becomes a prostitute. Late ...

George A Custer, Calamity Jane, and outlaws such as the James Brothers, the original Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and Billy the Kid). Westerns are often set on the American frontier during the last part of the 19th century (1865-1900) following the Civil War, in a geographically western (trans-Mississippi) setting with romantic, sweeping frontier landscapes or rugged rural terrain. However, Westerns may extend back to the time of America's colonial period or forward to the mid-20th century, or as far geographically as Mexico. The western film genre often portray ...
... on this project began at the Royal National Theatre Studio in 1991. Simon McBurney, Co-founder and Artistic Director of Theatre de Complicite, has served as the shows’ director since this time. Jacob Schulz, Bruno’s nephew, worked with the company as they developed the show. His relationship with the play remained ongoing through its’ continued growth until his death in 1997. Jacob is credited as providing a bridge between the past and the present by McBurney and Wheatley in their notes on the script. His input continued to illuminate not only the character of his uncle but also the world in which he wrote and lived. There is often a lyrical, often somewhat pastoral quality to ...
... is the tragic hero of Antigone. They say that his noble quality is his caring for Antigone and Ismene when thier father was persecuted. Those who stand behind Creon also argue that Antigone never had a true epiphany, a key element in being a tragic hero. Creon, on the other hand, realized his mistake when Teiresias made his prophecy. He is forced to live, knowing that three people are dead because of his ignorance, which is a punishment worse than death. My opinion on this debate is that Antigone is the tragic hero. She tries to help her brother without worrying about what will happen to her. She says, "I intend to give my brother burial. I'll be glad to die in the attempt, ...
... public, and too a lesser extent the general public does not appreciate. I believe this ending is not realistic as Pk loses his greatest love(or so they make us believe in the movie) dies and he does not care and continues to fight the “bad guys”, not thinking about her ever again in the movie. Same thing with his boxer friend, who just continues to live on like nothing ever happened. I already stated above what should have been done to make this a more realistic ending. The boxer should have crushed psychologically and should have dropped all activities against the governement. Same thing with Pk. I have tried to explain what was wrong with this movie, while exposing ...
