... every day. This may seem hard to digest, but it is reality. The need for debt elimination is vital if Canada wants to free up billions of dollars being spend on interest payments. Two approaches may be taken to this. First, an increase in government revenues through higher taxation may be considered. However, taxes are already at a point where some people feel they are working merely to pay the government, rather than support themselves. Second, a restraint on government spending by means of cutbacks may be a path, possibly a difficult one, to the road of eliminating our federal debt. Either way, it will be the young citizens of Canada that will have to pay for previous government ov ...

... of the farms in the US. The expanding sector of agriculture numbered 271,000 farms in the 1980's. This number increased to 326,000 farms by 1991. The off of the farm income of this sector is only $20,847 per farm. The total income per farm averaged $180,276 per year. This sectors main income comes from farming and very little of its income comes from off of the farm jobs. This sector is growing because there is becoming more big farms that produce most of our food. The second sector is called the declining sector. This sector includes the farms that sold products between $20,000 and $99,000 worth of products a year. Those farms decreased from 637,000 in 1980 to 549,000 in 1991. ...
... ROR decline. T-bills have historically had a much lower 2.5% maximum ROR that has not been prevalent until the past few years. Bonds have consistently had negative ROR’s until recently when the trend seems to be following stocks. Analysis of 3 and 10-year investment time frames emphasize the importance of the period that the investment is made over. Three and ten year investments yielded a large difference for stocks and very similar results for both bonds and T-bills. Modern statistical analysis shows us that there is statistical significance to the difference between the ROR’s and risk of stocks, bond and T-bills. This is an important analysis to understand, because sometimes ...
... says L. Mishel, Research Director of Welfare Reform Network. In view of these facts, I wonder if these trends are good or bad for society. "The danger of the information age is that while in the short run it may be cheaper to replace workers with technology, in the long run it is potentially self-destructive because there will not be enough purchasing power to grow the economy," M. B. Zuckerman. My feeling is that the trend from unskilled labor too highly technical, skilled labor is a good one! But, political action must be taken to ensure that this societal evolution is beneficial to all of us. "Back in 1970, a high school diploma could still be a ticket to the middle income bra ...
... price. Consumers make their decision on what to buy by the price of their desired good. Naturally, consumers will choose the lower price of a commodity they wish to purchase. This is why consumers, wanting to heat their homes, chose to heat them with natural-gas's substitutes (crude oil, heating oil, or gasoline) rather than the natural-gas, the higher priced commodity. The commodity, energy, is something that people can not go without during the winter months. If their is a shortage, which means that consumers demand more than the available supply, it leads to an increase in price. As shown in the graph below, as the supply decreases, the price increases. This means that the price i ...
... it as equitable, it could have convinced the Barons and others paying taxes of the validity and fairness of a system of which they would have had little comprehension. This would also be helped by Richards apparently good grasp of the area. The Exchequer board was the highest office that could be obtained in the royal circle and was the most powerful and prestigious as it presided over all financial matters. It allowed records to be formed and general standards to be maintained. The ultimate power of the exchequer is aptly put in the text..." where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.² The Exchequer had a greater role than just recording revenue as ...
... are the way they are. In this article, we come across a few major points. Each of them is introduced in a very original way. The author uses a literal journey into the past as a means of comparing it to the present. One of the many points is an in depth definition of history related profession. What are they trying to accomplish and how they work to get what they are looking for. "Professional historians spend their lives pursuing the meaning of the past for the present." Historians study facts and records that previous generations have left, to find out what kind of lives they led and how they solved their problems. The way a historian works is very determined and si ...
... symbol; this is just an abbreviation of its name. Next is the 5-Year high and low; this will tell you the highest and lowest that the stock has been in the last five years. The P-E ratio is just a simple price to earnings ratio, saying that you spend and receive this much. Sales 100's are how many of the stock was traded in 100's. So 12 would be 12 x 100 = 1200. Next you have the Weakly high and low, again, which is just a high and low price for the week. Last is the price that it ended at the day before, and change is how much it changed from the prior day. The category End is what it ended at that day. That is your basic walk through of a stock quote. Gateway, as I said still has ...
