... punishment for having been caught dancing in the woods is clearly revealed. The irresponsible accusations have resulted in the deaths of twenty people. But later on in the story the truth comes back to haunt them because they are the ones who end up being accused for witchcraft. I mentioned in line 23 of my poem, sooner or later the truth will come out and you have to be ready to confront it. She tried to cover it but the lies continued to pile up until she could no longer cover them and she was caught in her own lie. In Act II John Proctor tries to make Mary Warren go to court to declare that Abigail is a liar, but she warns him that Abigail will accuse him . Through out this sto ...
... When he was twenty-two, he founded and became the editor of the Flint Voice, one of the nation's most respectable alternative newsletters. In 1989, Moore produced and directed a documentary entitled 'Roger and Me', a political satire about his quest to convince General Motors' Chairman Roger Smith to visit Flint, Michigan, and witness the devastation brought by GM shutdowns. His movie quickly became the highest grossing documentary of all time, appearing on more than 100 of the critics '10 best films of the year' lists. The film was also given many awards and even led to the founding of the Center for Alternative Media. In 'Roger and Me', Moore wants answe ...
... come on and say that their experience with the psychic was "life changing," and that "it was so real…the psychic knew everything." It is amazing what people will fall for in this day and age. Info-mercials are basically half hour commercials that attempt to sell products to watchers. The products that most info-mercials offer are things that are said to "improve someone's life" but in most cases the products are rip-offs and are an easy way for the manufacturer's to make money. Some of the products include the "AB-flex," a simple rocking seat that is supposed to hold this unearthly power to flatten a persons stomach. The "AB-flex" guarantees to "make it easier to develop stomach muscles ...
... no further in this business"(I.vii.32). Yet, after speaking with Lady Macbeth he recants and proclaims,"I am settled, and bend up/Each corporal agent to this terrible feat"(I.vii.79-80). There is nothing supernatural to be found in a man being swayed by the woman he loves, as a matter of fact this action could be perceived as quite the opposite. Second, the witches have to be dispelled as a source of Macbeth's misfortune before the latter theory can be considered. It is admittedly strange that the weird sisters first address Macbeth with,"All hail, Macbeth! hail to thee Thane of Cawdor!"(I.iii.49), a title which not even Macbeth is aware he has been awarded. Even stranger is the thir ...
... becomes more upset that Tybalt is triumphant with Mercutio being dead (III, I, 121). As Romeo becomes overwhelmed with Mercutio's death and Tybalt's joy over it, he suddenly declares that either he or Tybalt must die with Mercutio (III, I, 128). Tybalt responds predictably and threatens Romeo (III, I, 129). Romeo takes the threat, then fights Tybalt until Tybalt is finally killed. When Tybalt dies, Romeo suddenly comes to grips with what he has done, and, unable to believe that he did this of his own will, cries out that he is fortune's fool (III, I, 135). While many people may say that Romeo's grief caused him to kill Tybalt, this still places no responsibility on fate. Romeo, be ...
... most likely feels that Brutes will join in and want to assassinate Caesar, yet the reader is uncertain as to whether or not the plan will work. These events are very suspenseful as they lead up to the assassination of Caesar. The next series of suspenseful events that foreshadow Caesar's assassination happen on a very unusual night. One night before Caesar's death there were many strange occurrences the foreshadows darkness in the future. A lioness gave birth in the streets, the dead rose from their graves, fiery worriers fought in the clouds so fiercely that blood drizzled upon the capitol, horses neighed, dying men groaned, and ghosts shrieked and squealed along the streets; all eve ...
... in a studio. Then there was a still-frame before the movie continues. This was done so viewers would again realize they were watching a movie, because too often people take things for granted. Other uses of time were implemented by Vertov to ensure the viewers understood they were watching a movie. There were a multitude of different sequences involved in this film. One intriguing occurrence was how Vertov showed the movie goers going in and out of movie houses. This was the first time in a movie that people were actually seen going to and from these theaters. Vertov made sure he got in all the features of daily life. He was not filming actors, what he was doing was filming re ...
... from the first that his best efforts will fail. Others would argue that because Oedipus was a tyrannical ruler and didn't make the best choices in life, he deserved to suffer. E. R. Dodds states that, "Oedipus' behavior on the stage reveals the man he always was: he was punished for his basically unsound character." It was unavoidable and was his destiny to suffer in life. It was certainly not his fault that he reacted to his circumstances as he did. One of the most outstanding examples of the god's predetermination, is when Oedipus recalls memories of his own childhood in Corinth when the oracle warns him that he will one day slay his father, and defile the bed of his mother. Oedipu ...

After the raw data of the first two studies were analyzed and studied, a third study was conducted. 300 male and female undergraduate students were given the same scenarios as in study one, but were asked questions after. One of the questions was, "Have you ever been involved in a committed sexual relationship before?" The students answered this question and the data was taken. In the male category, there was a significant difference. In the female category, there wasn't a significant difference. ...
... a film because they think they might enjoy some aspect of it. The film genre follows a set of abstract rules that allows the public to informally categorize films. These rules must be viewed from an flexible point of view in order to legitimize their future existence. By using this method of categorizing films the public is able to decide which films they wish to see and those they do not. Some people love musicals and if they were to go to one and find there was no music or dance they might not be too pleased. The concept of genre is one that may provide benefit to the viewers but at the same time may also present problems for the directors who must compromise their artistic aspirati ...
