How do you perceive things when you look at or read about them? What makes you view them this way? How do you know when you see too much or too little? Or how do you interpret the meaning of something when pieces of the ima .... Middle of Term Paper ... of its significance. "The way we see things is affected by what we know or what we believe." When an image is presented one reflects on their beliefs or prior knowledge causing a sudden blindness to occur. You only see what you choose to look at. By referring to your ideals you ultimately lose the reality of the entire image. For example a person walking down the street sees a homeless person begging for money to get food. He walks away without helping the man as he reminisces about trickery by a beggar in the past. He acted on prior knowledge of past occurrences when this time the reality was homeless guy really wanted money for food.
