The story of Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy. The two lovers go against their families and against their hate to be together but they don't think about the consequences, which in the end are devastating.
Romeo and Juliet engage in a love that th .... Middle of Term Paper ... states this to Romeo: "Is Rosaline, whom thou didst love so dear, so soon forsaken? Young men's love then lies not truly in their hearts, but in their eyes".
This is exactly how Romeo behaves. Juliet on the other hand had to marry Count Paris so her love with Romeo is simply a way to get out of it. She never had a relationship with a man and she didn't like to have her first and only relationship with a man her parents arranged for her. She wanted freedom and Romeo was her ticket to it.
