Flowers For Algernon was told from the point of view of Charlie, the person the
intelligence-increasing surgery was performed on. The story would have been very different if it was told through the eyes of another character in the story. Vie .... As Charlie began to regress, she might have written how she had mixed feelings; she was sad that Charlie was becoming retarded again, but at the same time wanted to have Charlie at her own level again, even if for only a short time.
