... Skinner is an American psychologist who is best known for his research into the learning process and his idealist view of having a planned society. He was born in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania in 1904. He graduated from Hamilton College in 1926. After becoming interested in the works and studies of John B. Watson and Ivan P. Pavlov, he studied with animal learning and functions of the nervous system. He received his Ph.D. in behavioral psychology at Harvard in 1931.
