In the 1960's, frogs were cloned by a scientist, John Gurdon. A nuclear transfer was used for success. In 1997 geneticists in Scotland said that they had for the first time cloned an adult mammal a ewe. They used a technique called nuclear transfer where they removed the nucleus from an egg cell, and with an electric pulse fused the denucleated egg cell with a whole cell.
