Dr. Hodges and Dr. Bloom (1984), who are Psychology professors, “ the effect of age of the child on the response to the divorce of parents can be examined in three general age groups: preschool, latency (or elementary age) and adolescence”. Each of these age groups showed to respond differently. The preschool age children respond to marital separation with regression, anger, tantrums, aggression and anxiety.
