“Two young men and two young women sort themselves out in to marriageable couples, but only after one triangle, with Hermia at the apex and Helena excluded, is temporarily replaced by another, this time with Helena at the apex and Hermia exclu .... Oberon, King of the Fairies, sees Helena’s pain and orders Robin Goodfellow, a hobgoblin, to anoint Demetrius’ eyes with a love potion so that he will fall in love with Helena. Demetrius is pursuing Hermia and asking for her hand in marriage. But she declines for she is in love with another.
