In the play Macbeth, Shakespeare plays upon many different human emotions. Shakespeare focuses these many emotions mainly in the character Macbeth. Before the murder of Duncan Macbeth was very innocent and good hearted. After the murder Macbeth becomes almost evil in his quest for power and the control of his fate. This transformation is most evident in two passages spoken by Macbeth. The first passage is in Act I and the second is in Act III.
In the first passage Macbeth says:
