If you were 75 meters away (travelling at 22.2 meters per second)
and the intersection is 18 meters wide you would have been through the
intersection before the light even changed to red.
You should go to the intersection and time the amber signal.
Try to remember where the officer was sitting, and see if he had a
clear view of you approaching him and exactly what he could see. (Which
traffic lights were visible to him, how far down the road he could see
etc.) Make a reasonable measurement of the width of the intersection.
