Holcomb was a town where secrets were greater than what was known.
Myrt Clare lived in Holcomb. She had various view points about the people
in the town. Myrt Clare had an attitude towards her neighbors. Myrt was the
town instigator.
When given .... Middle of Term Paper ... was active in the
community and a family man.
When Myrt described her neighbors as “rattlesnakes and varmints
looking for a chance to slam the door in your face.” That statement can be
taken two different ways: (1). how the town treated her when she gave them
their mail, or (2) the neighbors were untrustworthy and false. Myrt’s
attitude towards her neighbors makes the reader think she is envious and
hypocritical.
Holcomb did show a friendly side. The town seemed to act more like
friends that did for each other than friends that just associate with each
